Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union and Tower Federal Credit Union Select FIS’ Base2000 for Credit Card Processing
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (FIS), today announced the addition of two new clients on its Base2000 credit card processing platform. Tower Federal Credit Union, of Laurel, Md., has an $87-million credit card portfolio with more than 40,000 credit card accounts. Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union of Midland, Mich., has a $26-million credit card portfolio and more than 19,000 accounts.
Base2000 is a credit card processing solution that supports both consumer and commercial accounts, including business, corporate, fleet and purchasing cards. Built from the transaction level up, the system's innovative architecture offers superior flexibility for ongoing enhancements and support. First installed in 1998, Base2000 processes more than 56 million accounts worldwide.
“We chose to partner with FIS for a number of reasons,” said Dennis M. Hanson, president and chief executive officer of Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union. “The advantage of working with FIS is that we can work directly with one full-service processor for credit, debit, rewards, etc. Their products and technologies are scalable and flexible, and we are particularly impressed with their speed to market for promotions and new products. Their eZCardInfo product for online account management is broader, with more user functionality than other choices on the market.”
“It was a clear decision to choose FIS,” said Vickey Rohde, manager, research and development, Tower Federal Credit Union. “We like having the discretion to customize the level of servicing options and the ease of making changes with their online system. Their Base2000 platform provides near real-time payment information, which will enable us to provide better member service. Also, working directly with the processor gives us more flexibility and control of our program.”
“I am pleased that Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union and Tower Federal Credit Union are entrusting FIS with all their credit card transaction processing needs, and I am confident that our efficiencies and expertise will positively impact both company's bottom line,” said Bob Bream, president, North America Card, FIS. “Because we own the technologies and services we offer, we are able to provide our clients with tailored solutions and innovations to meet their unique card processing needs.”
