Steve Wozniak

Wednesday, May 25 (12:45 – 1:30 P.M.)

A Silicon Valley icon and philanthropist for more than 30 years, Steve Wozniak helped shape the computing industry with his design of Apple’s first line of products. In 1976, Wozniak and Steve Jobs founded Apple Computer, Inc. with Wozniak’s Apple I personal computer. The following year, Wozniak introduced his Apple II personal computer, featuring a CPU, keyboard, color graphics and floppy disk drive. The Apple II was integral in launching the personal computer industry. Wozniak currently serves as chief scientist for Fusion-io and published his New York Times best-selling autobiography, iWoz: From Computer Geek to Cult Icon, in 2006. His television appearances include Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, Dancing with the Stars, and The Big Bang Theory.

The president of the United States awarded Wozniak the National Medal of Technology in 1985, the highest honor bestowed on America’s leading innovators. He is a recipient of the Award for Technology, The Economy and Employment, for his contributions to the world of computing and improving grade school education, and of the Hoover Medal for “outstanding extra-career services by engineers to humanity.” He is also an inductee of the Inventors Hall of Fame. You won’t want to miss his keynote address at Connect 2016.

Signature Event – Wednesday, May 25

Just as FIS empowers the financial industry, musicians have used music to empower people for decades. Join us as we take you on a journey through the Rock of Ages.

Connect attendees will have a one of a kind Rock of Ages experience in the largest Hard Rock Cafe in the world! FIS has bought out the Hard Rock Live & Cafe for the night. We begin in the Hard Rock Cafe, where we will have dinner while we are joined by some familiar faces. Afterwards, the Hard Rock Live and the John Lennon room and patio will open for an entertainment experience of a lifetime – all exclusively for you.

FIS Connect 2016 client attendees will also have access to a spectrum of educational Break-out Sessions delivering the latest innovative solutions and enhancements from FIS.

Signature Event tickets may be purchased individually for $150. Due to the availability of alcohol at the evening events, all guests must be 21 or older.

Cancellation Policy
Full conference refunds will be given if cancelled by midnight on April 21.
Fifty percent of refund will be given if cancelled by midnight on May 5.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after May 5.
You may transfer your registration to another person at any time prior to the start of the conference.

Falcon’s Fire Golf Club

An optional golf tournament is available for conference attendees and their guests. The event is complimentary, and registration is required. Transportation will be provided to and from the course.

Falcon’s Fire Golf Club, designed by Rees Jones, is a championship golf course recognized both regionally and nationally as one of the finest public golf courses in Orlando. Falcon’s Fire Golf Club is a premier Florida golf destination, conveniently located near the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.

This championship golf course features classic architecture and an exquisitely maintained course. Falcon’s Fire Golf Club offers a challenging yet playable course stretching more than 7,000 yards from the back tees and providing golfers an option of four sets of tees.

This complimentary event is available for conference attendees and their guests. Note: Capacity is limited and will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis.

1. Can I make a change to my registration?

Yes. To make changes to your registration, click on the Registration tab on the left, then click on the appropriate registration form and enter your confirmation number to make any modifications. If you are unable to find your confirmation number, contact our Global Events team at fis.global.marketing.and.communications@fisglobal.com.

2. What if I need to cancel? What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your registration, email your cancellation to our Global Events team at fis.global.marketing.and.communications@fisglobal.com as soon as possible. Refer to the cancellation policy located on the registration portion of this website. Hotel cancellation must be done by calling your hotel directly.

3. How do I register a group (three or more delegates)?

Groups of three or more may be eligible for additional savings. The first two delegates each pay the full conference rate of $850 ($750 early bird) and any additional delegates from the same institution pay a discounted rate of $650 ($550 early bird). To take advantage of the group registration discount, please register all delegates at one time. The $200 discount will apply automatically on the registration detail page. To register your group, click on the Registration link. Please note: Advisory board members must register individually, and their registration does not apply toward the group discount.

5. When is the hotel reservation cutoff date? What do I do if I miss it?

Effective until April 21, a block of rooms at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention has been reserved for FIS Connect 2016 attendees at a special FIS rate. Reservations made after April 21 are on a space- and rate-available basis. To make a reservation at the special FIS rate, refer to the Hotel and Travel tab on the left. Room reservations and hotel charges (including phone, incidentals and meals, except those indicated on the conference schedule) are the responsibility of the attendee. All hotel changes and cancellations must be done by calling your hotel directly.

6. When is the conference registration cutoff date? What do I do if I miss it?

Registrations will be accepted up to the conference date and on-site.

7. When does early bird registration end?

Early bird registration ends on Thursday, April 21.

8. Are the conference facilities wheelchair-accessible?

FIS recognizes the need to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Contact our Global Events team at fis.global.marketing.and.communications@fisglobal.com so that we can accommodate any special needs you may have.

9. What is the conference attire?

Conference attire is business casual. For men, we suggest a collared shirt, dress slacks, polo shirts and sometimes a sport coat. For women, dress slacks or skirts with stylish tops and sweaters or blazers are appropriate. Temperatures in the meeting rooms can vary, so it is recommended that attendees be prepared with a jacket or sweater.
