FIS Payments as a Service Platform Wins Best New Software Service of the Year

LONDON and JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 24, 2018 – FIS™ (NYSE: FIS), a global leader in financial services and payment technology, announced today that its Payments as a Service (PaaS) solution was recently named Best New Software Service of the Year by the 2018 International Business Awards. The awards program was judged by a global committee of industry analysts and executives.
Offered in a hosted environment, the FIS PaaS solution enables financial institutions in Europe and the United Kingdom to access powerful payment processing capabilities without significant upfront capital investments. The FIS solution provides direct access to faster payment schemes, Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), Bankers’ Automated Clearing Services (BACS), and Clearing House Automated Payment System (CHAPS).
FIS PaaS can also handle payments reconciliation, settlement and anti-money laundering screening – all in a single, end-to-end service. Financial institutions have the flexibility to choose the services they need within the platform.
A U.K.-based financial services company recently became the first client to go live on the cloud-based PaaS platform.

Meanwhile, at the Systems in the City Awards, presented by UK technology consultancy Goodacre, FIS also won Best Clearing and Settlement Service.
