For years, Sagesse Training has received multiple cheques on a weekly basis for their training and coaching services. Accepting cheques means recording them manually in their CRM and accounting systems, and physcially visiting a bank branch to deposit the cheques.
Last week, Sagesse Training's accountant, Madeleine, was visited by their bank financial advisor, who introduced her to a new service that allows Sagesse to electronically deposit cheques by scanning.
Madeleine downloads the cheque imaging app and scans that week's received cheques.
Within 48 hours, Madeleine receives a digital alert that the cheques have cleared. She can also see that the accounting ledgers have been automatically updated with the deposits.
Because this is the first time Madeleine has used this service, she logs into Sagesse Training's online banking account and confirms that the transaction has taken place.
