  • Base 2000:

Antony receives a call from Sophia, a fraud analyst at his credit card issuer. She indicates they suspect that a fraudulent transaction has been attempted against his credit card and asks to run him through secure identification.

After completing secure identification and verification, Sophia explains that a transaction had been attempted on Antony's card for a large sum of money in a women's clothing shop. Because this was unusual activity for Antony, an alert was raised to the fraud team that Sophia is part of.

After discussing the transaction, Sophia and Antony agree that this was an attempted fraudulent transaction, and the case is confirmed as fraud.

To prevent further fraud, Sophia cancels Antony's card and issues him a new card, to be delivered to his office the following day.

Antony has peace of mind knowing his card issuer is vigilant in fighting back against financial crime and cybersecurity threats to prevent him becoming a victim of fraud.
