Vanessa’s first patient of the day, Rita’s rescue Brownie, has been vomiting all night. Vanessa believes he has an intestinal obstruction and heads to do an x-ray to confirm.
After 20 minutes, Vanessa gets the x-ray machine working, confirming that Brownie swallowed a fishing hook. Vanessa resolves to finally replace the aging machine today.
Rita is concerned she can’t afford the expensive surgery to save her pup, but Vanessa offers financing to cover it. The surgery goes well, and Brownie will be fine.
Next, Colleen brings her cats Simba and Sammy in for their annual visit. After a quick checkup and checkout, Colleen and the cats are on their way.
During lunch, Vanessa works on replacing the x-ray machine. A quick review of her bank accounts confirms her fear that she doesn’t have the cash to cover it.
But Vanessa is in luck – she sees on her bank’s homepage that they now offer real-time lending – she can apply now and expect the funding to come through today!
As promised, the loan funds come through that afternoon! Vanessa calls her supplier to order the new x-ray machine. What a relief to have that taken care of!
