The stylists at Joe & Co Hairdressing are more than adept at keeping up with the latest fashion trends; hair salons can’t last long if they don’t and this Edinburgh institution has been going for an amazing 29 years.

But trends in payments are something else, and husband-and-wife team Joe and Kim wanted to make sure they didn’t get left behind by this rapidly changing part of the business. They knew if they didn’t keep up their business could suffer and so they called in Worldpay…

When Joe & Co Hairdressing opened its doors for the very first time three decades ago, card payments were the exception rather than the rule. But on today’s high street, cards are more common than cash. There was no such thing as a contactless payment until 2007, but settling up with the tap of a card or the wave of a phone is now more common than the old-style chip-and PIN.

Joe, Kim and their team of six have earned a reputation for delivering sleek cuts, dazzling colours and beautiful styles without breaking the bank.
