Founded in 1928 as a state employees’ credit union, Virginia Credit Union has a long history of serving its community. Based in the greater Richmond area, the credit union established its field of membership in 1987 and has progressively expanded throughout Virginia. It now operates branches in Fredericksburg, Charlottesville and Farmville, and continues to extend its presence further into the western region of the state.
As an "early adopter" of technology, Virginia Credit Union is focused on meeting the evolving needs of its members, who increasingly want secure, convenient banking at their fingertips. One of the biggest challenges disrupting the industry is the constant and growing threat of fraud.
