David Dunn is the chief risk officer at FIS, where he is responsible for the strategy and execution of all global risk functions and programs, including information security, risk advisory, risk and controls oversight and governance, regulatory relations, client assurance, global business resilience, and physical security.

David has over 30 years of experience in technology, audit and financial services. He most recently served at Truist as executive vice president, senior governance and controls officer and head of enterprise technology risk. His experience also includes PNC Financial Services Group, where he served as executive vice president, assistant general auditor; Bank of America, where he served as senior vice president, senior audit director of global technology and operations; and Royal Bank of Scotland, where he served as senior vice president, head of operational risk management for Citizens Financial Group. Previously, he served in leadership roles in internal audit, information technology and risk management at Capital One and as the director of quality assurance at PeopleSoft.

David has earned MBA degrees from the Johnson School of Management, Cornell University and Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Excelsior College. He serves as an adjunct professor at the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. David currently serves on the board of directors of the First Coast American Heart Association in Jacksonville, Fla.
