Hashim Toussaint: How can banks better leverage data and AI to enhance the customer experience? There are a number of foundational elements that have to be in place first before the power of AI can truly be unlocked.
Three of them come to mind. The first one is: Do you have all the right integrations to the many different systems of record that the customer interacts with, both within the bank and externally? So, connecting all those systems and the broader ecosystem is really important.
Then do you have the right data? Is the data clean? Is the data bespoke to the end-user? And is the data relevant? So, making sure that's in a really good place is important to then unlock the power of AI.
And that's also wrapped around fraud and risk prevention. As you pull data in and you connect to other data sources. So, having a really tight framework for third-party integration is also pretty important.
And then once those three components are in place, that's when you'll see the unlock of AI, right? The ability to take this vast array of data that is clean and bespoke, and it's also secure. And that's how banks can truly drive the power of AI.
